Free WiFi in Tel Aviv - Work in Progress [update]

Tel Aviv WiFi Landing Page - English Version, WiFi is live but not everywhere
A few years ago Tel Aviv city hall announced a free WiFi in the city "project". As part of giving Tel Aviv an international image, I guess the idea of seeing people sitting in cafes and working on laptops, was an idea who's time has come. The city was going to provide hot spots at least in the commercial areas.

Well, the idea is great, but the result so far is not exactly what was promised (or is it what was expected). A few areas in the city, true to the original plans, the commercial "strips" along Iben Gvirol, Dizengoff and small sections at the center of the city have a few fast - free Tel Aviv (comes up as "FREE_TLV" at 65 Mbps on Windows & Mac) hot spots. But as a whole if you are a saptop (ipad) toating nomad worker, you need to find more places to work and connect.   --  This is mytake on the ubiquitous WiFi in the White City --  stay tuned..  [I am writing from a new Cafe  Montifiore - at Iben Gvirol and Arlozorov - here the FREE_TLV hot spot is fine, they also have their own WiFi router, ask the servers].
