Red poppies are a sign of spring. The burst out all over the country. In the city, they can be seen in hidden little patches where Israelis have not gotten to them. For many years spring flowers were cut to almost extinction, today there is more awareness to keep them as they are. When fresh these flowers are delicate and seem to float like red dots / © 2010 
Cats get frisky and have fights as spring brings them renewed energy. Street cats are everywhere in Israel, some are beautiful. There is always a kind person to feed them, they tend to live around places where they can hide, under buildings and in parks under bushes / © 2010
